Rachel Min Park is a Ph.D Candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature with a Designated Emphasis in Women, Gender, and Sexuality at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research examines the status of the body in Cold War Korea and Vietnam, paying particular attention to the relationship between violence, popular culture, and disability. She also works as a translator from Korean to English and her works include Young Min Kim's The History of Modern Korean Fiction (1890-1945): The Topography of Literary Systems and Form (Lexington University Press, 2020), fictional short stories featured in the Verso blog, Korean Literature Now, and demos journal, as well as subtitles for various Korean documentaries.
