Judge's remarks - "Merry Wishes from the End"
"These careful syllabics and indentation schemes present poetry’s laws and regulations against the forms of legislation the poems critique, specifically those that control the movement and status of immigrant or stateless persons. In opposing formal laws to bad political realities, these poems do not model an escapist flight from those unjust facts, but a quiet yet unrelenting statement that there are other ways to organize speech and person than the ones that nations deploy."
