Alum Selby Wynn Schwartz Wins Rome Prize

Selby Wynn Schwartz (Ph.D., 2005)... was just awarded the prestigious Rome Prize. We previously celebrated Selby for being longlisted for the Booker Prize for her novel After Sappho, which was also a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, A New York Times Editors' Choice Selection, and named one of the best books of the year in 2023 by the Washington Post, TIME, and the Guardian. It has since been translated into multiple languages. Her second novel, A Life in Chameleons, was published in September of 2023, and was previously awarded the 2021 Reflex Press Novella Award.
